Decking and external structural timber

An attractive outdoor deck can significantly enhance the appeal (and value) of your property, as well as providing a serene and natural backdrop to our outdoor “braai-and-pool” lifestyle.

We are suppliers of a variety of different decking timbers, typically premanufactured and ready to install. Our favourites are Purpleheart and the incomparable Ipe. We also keep enormous stocks of the staple hardwood species of Balau, Garapa and Massaranduba. Another option that has been growing in popularity is Siberian Larch.

We also stock and are able to manufacture even more exotic options on request, including genuine Burmese Teak and Thermo-treated Oak.

In addition to this, we offer a wide range of structural timbers for pergolas, decking substructures, and other external structures, including a number of hard-wearing and attractive timber species. Popular options include Garapa, Balau, Iroko, Keruing and Meranti.

We hold significant stocks in Cape Town and Knysna / Garden Route and are ready to ship to Johannesburg, Durban, Port Elizabeth and other major South African cities as required. We also regularly serve export customers in Mauritius, Seychelles, Namibia and Botswana.

Our standard list of pre-profiled decking, includes the following:
  • 90x19mm Garapa - 'smooth' or 'reeded one face'
  • 90x19mm Balau - 'reeded one face'
  • 90x19mm Massaranduba - 'smooth' or 'reeded one face'
  • 90x19mm Purpleheart - 'smooth' or 'reeded one face' (this is a species that we import specially as we believe it give slightly improved performance over the three options above)
  • 90x19mm Ipe - smooth (the “Rolls Royce” option)
  • 140x19mm Garapa - smooth
  • 145x19mm Purpleheart - smooth
  • 145x22mm Siberian Larch - smooth
