French Oak, Rustic grade, 100 mm fixed width

French Oak is the classic European hardwood. It is strong, durable and timeless, with a warm golden-brown colour and a bold grain that deepens beautifully with age. It has been used for centuries in furniture, flooring, beams and barrels, and it brings a sense of history and craftsmanship to any project.

Every board in this range is a fixed [width] mm width and priced per board. Rustic grade celebrates the natural character of the tree, with knots, small splits, sapwood and colour variation. That makes it ideal for farmhouse tables, shelving, mantels, cladding and any piece where character is the point.

The photos show typical stock from the batch. Wood is a natural, living material, so every board is unique in grain, figure and colour. It also moves slightly with moisture and the seasons, so actual dimensions may differ a little from those listed.

Each board is machined on two faces and sawn on the remaining sides, which gives you a clean, flat reference to work from. Oak is high in natural tannins, so use stainless steel or coated fixings to avoid dark staining around screws and nails.
